Special Announcement: Moose of the Year

We are incredibly proud to announce that Scott Herman has been awarded the prestigious Moose of the Year! This honor recognizes his tireless dedication and extensive volunteer work at the Lodge throughout this past year. Please join us in congratulating Scott the next time you see him for all he does for our fraternity.

Facility Update: Cool Comfort is Coming!

We are thrilled to announce that a brand-new, high-efficiency AC/Heating system has been officially ordered for our Events Hall!

Our existing unit has served us faithfully for 40 years, but it has certainly reached the end of its life. This major investment will provide:

Climate Control: Ensuring the Events Hall is comfortable for every event, meeting, and community activity, regardless of the season.
Operational Savings: The modern, energy-efficient technology is expected to save the Lodge a significant amount in monthly operating costs, allowing us to redirect those funds back into our community outreach and charitable missions.

Installation details will be shared as soon as we have a confirmed timeline. We appreciate your patience while we make this vital improvement to our Lodge.

More Charity BINGO Coming: The Rockville Moose Lodge is excited to announce two more charity BINGO night fundraisers with the Montgomery County Humane Society. They received incredible feedback and have approached us with a Fall (Sept 25th) and a Winter fundraiser (TBA). Our Lodge is happy to support such a worthwhile cause in our mission to give back to the community. More information will be announced this summer.

Upcoming Membership Meeting

Your voice matters! Our next Membership Meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, April 15th, at 8:00 PM.

We will hold a member discussion and vote prior to the Membership Meeting at 8 pm on the new HVAC system and securing a loan for the work. We need your input!

We invite all members to attend. This is the best place to ask questions, provide feedback on Lodge operations, and share your suggestions for future events. We are a member-led organization, and we can't grow without your input!

Holiday Hours Update:

*The Lodge will be closed tonight, Tuesday

*Laurie has graciously decided to open the Lodge on New Year’s Eve from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (and maybe later if the place is rockin’). Thanks to everyone who came out on Christmas Eve. We had a steady crowd until 11 pm!

*The entire Lodge facility will be CLOSED on New Year's Day (Thursday, January 1st)

In observance of the holidays, Line Dancing is canceled on Wednesday, December 31st.

Passing of a Beloved Member: Leon Johnson

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of our long-time member, Leon Johnson, this past week. Leon was truly one of our Lodge favorites, a dedicated community leader, a 7-time Moose Governor, and simply an all-around wonderful individual. Leon originally joined the Rockville Moose in 1968. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Please join us in honoring Leon’s life and supporting his family at a Celebration of Life at our Lodge.

Please remember to bring your donations of non-perishable food items for our ongoing drive benefiting the Fisher House. We also accept cash and gift card donations to be used toward food purchases.

For those unfamiliar, the Fisher House provides a vital, free place to stay for military families while their loved ones are receiving critical, life-saving medical treatment. Your generous donation helps these families focus solely on recovery.

Moose Lodge Happenings: Events & Giving Back!

Hello Rockville Moose Members and Friends,

Our Trunk or Treat event was a huge success, and it was wonderful to see so many families out enjoying the fun!

An event like this is only possible because of our amazing volunteers. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the members who donated their time, decorated their trunks, and handed out candy to make this a safe and memorable afternoon for the kids.

And, of course, a very special thank you goes to Linda Cespedes for organizing this fantastic event again this year. Her hard work and dedication are what make these community moments so great.

Great news, football fans! The Lodge is now open on Sundays from 12 PM to 8 PM. Grab your friends and come watch your favorite teams on our many big-screen TVs.

We've got everything you need for the perfect game day. We'll be serving up drink specials, our famous buffalo wings, and our full menu to keep you fueled up. If there’s another game you want to watch, just ask—we can probably show it!
